Courtney Chartier has a Masters of Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin School of Information; a Masters of Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi Center for the Study of Southern Culture; and a Bachelors of American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Chartier is currently the Head of Research Services at the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library of Emory University. She was previously the Assistant Head of the Archives Research Center at the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library; Project Archivist for the Voter Education Project Organizational Records and the Morehouse College Martin Luther King, Jr. Collection. She is a member of SAA Council, former Chair of the Archivists and Archives of Color Roundtable, former President of the Society of Georgia Archivists and former Regent for Outreach of the Academy of Certified Archivists.
