As archivists advance in their careers, many often assume management roles. Although prepared for the role of archivist through formal education and day-to-day work, most archivists have minimal management training and experience. Panelists from a variety of institutions and with varying levels of experience talk about their positions, issues with transparency in management, making decisions, managing change, navigating conflict, and setting strategic priorities. A significant amount of time is devoted to questions and discussion.
