106 - Leading the Way: Transparency in Archives Management

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

As archivists advance in their careers, many often assume management roles. Although prepared for the role of archivist through formal education and day-to-day work, most archivists have minimal management training and experience. Panelists from a variety of institutions and with varying levels of experience talk about their positions, issues with transparency in management, making decisions, managing change, navigating conflict, and setting strategic priorities. A significant amount of time is devoted to questions and discussion. Commentator: Chrystal Carpenter
