207 - Baby Got (Council) Back-up? Online Transparency in the City of Austin City Clerk's Office

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Austin's City Clerk has developed several tools to make Council agendas, minutes, and audio/video files available online. This archives/records management system contains a search portal from which records dating back to 1869 are available alongside today's Council agenda. The portal receives 500,000+ document downloads from the City's website every month, and has allowed the Clerk to repurpose three staff positions. The speakers provide an overview of the methods used to collect, quality-check, and publish records.
