Archives face increasing expectations for online access to moving image collections. Meeting these expectations requires balancing user needs for discoverability and accessibility with our desire to create high-quality metadata. Representatives from the University of North Texas, NARA, and The Southside Home Movie Project share their experience creating and implementing user-focused description for digitized moving image collections, with a focus on developing and implementing assessment-driven programs for outreach, education, and employee training.
