Managing Physical & Digital Architecture, Design, & Construction Records #1904 [A&D] Day 1 of 2

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Graphic Design and many other professions produce design and construction records that provide a unique perspective for understanding the design process and the built environment. These records, created through complicated work processes, often are produced with fragile materials, fugitive media, and complex digital files, making the implementation of basic archival functions of appraisal, arrangement, description, preservation, and reference a formidable task.

In this two-day workshop, participants learn how to preserve and provide access to physical and digital design and construction records. The first day covers the process of design, legal issues, appraisal, types of records, arrangement, and description; the second day focuses on media and support identification, preservation, reformatting, reference, and patron use.
