Items from the Joseph Cornell Study Center and the Nam June Paik Archive will be on view, as will materials from the museum’s Photograph Archives, comprised of over half a million images documenting American art from colonial to contemporary times, and the Inventories of American Painting and Sculpture, documenting over 400,000 American artworks in public and private collections worldwide.
With its specialized art databases of a half-million records, extensive photograph archives, and two artists’ archives, the museum’s Research and Scholars Center is a leader in supporting research and scholarship in American art. Join us for an informal open house, where you can learn more about our programs, meet our staff, and see key selections from our archives and special collections.
