Kate Donovan

Kate Donovan is the Public Services and Instruction Librarian at the Tamiment Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University. Prior to working at NYU, Kate served as the University Archivist and Coordinator of Records Management in the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library at Emory University, where she lead long-range business planning, development, and management of the University Archives and Records Program. Kate worked previously as an archival assistant at the University of Michigan's Bentley Historical Library and as a volunteer at the Iowa Women's Archive. She has additional professional experience in development, education, and public programming gained at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York City Police Museum, as well as college-level history and information studies teaching experience.


Kate holds a MS in Information and a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Michigan, a MA in History from the University of Iowa, and a BA in History from Vassar College.
