Military Archives Section Tour: Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation (WIMSA)
The SAA Military Archives Section is sponsoring a tour by the curator of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation (WIMSA) at Arlington Cemetery on Tuesday, August 14th at 10:00 am.

There will be a group leaving from the conference hotel at 9:00 am and we will take the Metro. If you would like to meet at the site,  see directions here: https://goo.gl/maps/FGEi79uYZ8x.

WIMSA is a repository for the memorabilia of women who have served in or with the US Armed Forces from the American Revolution to the present time. Our historians and curators conduct seminal research on the history of servicewomen, placing their experience within its historical context.

Archivists and Archives of Color Section Tour of the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center at Howard University
The MSRC is recognized as one of the world's largest and most comprehensive repositories for the documentation of the history and culture of people of African descent in Africa, the Americas, and other parts of the world. As one of Howard University's major research facilities, the MSRC collects, preserves, and makes available for research a wide range of resources chronicling the Black experience.
