Megan Wheaton-Book is a Records and Information Management Specialist IV at the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration where she provides a full range of information governance services including the development of policies and procedures for the systematic identification and management of public records to assure their authenticity and accessibility from creation to their ultimate disposition. Megan collaborates with agency partners to analyze public records to appraise their value and work towards the establishment and maintenance of agency records management programs.

Megan also develops education and awareness initiatives that support the Statewide Records and Information Management Program including trainings and workshop curricula. Since 2017 she has coordinate and lead the Vermont Local Records Program which has offered records assistance to municipalities. Megan has been with VSARA since 2015 and earned an MLIS with a concentration in archival studies and an MA in history from Simmons College in Boston.
