I am an associate professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill at at the School of Information and Library Science, a contributing opinion writer
at the New York Times, and a faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. My first book,
Twitter and Tear Gas, was published by Yale University Press. I also have an affiliate appointment in the Department of Sociology at UNC.
