Vincent T. Brooks has been with the Library of Virginia for twenty-two years in various capacities. In his present position, in addition to processing local government records, he serves as system administrator for the Chancery Records Index, digital chancery project coordinator, and assists with social media. He is the author articles and reviews in such publications as The Dictionary of Virginia Biography, the Encyclopedia of the Great Depression and the New Deal, The Magazine of Virginia Genealogy, Virginia Libraries, and the former Virginia Cavalcade. In addition, he has lectured on subjects ranging from gubernatorial pardons to landscape architecture. Vince also served as lead researcher for exhibitions on Virginia’s Coal Towns, Legacies of the New Deal in Virginia, and the architectural exhibit Never Built Virginia.
